The top end runs to $3,400.10, so the same fortnight can cost wildly different amounts depending on who you book with. Three listings came back at zero. Ignore those and compare the real quotes side by side before you commit.
Most of the fleet seats five (59 of 75), and 7 listings seat seven if you're travelling with a crowd and the ski bags. Winter roads around the Crown Range and Glenorchy can be icy in the morning, so an AWD or 4WD pick, like the Toyota RAV 4 AWD Hybrid from Sixt at $296.41, is worth the small step up. Book a mid-morning pickup if you can, once the frost has lifted and the airport queue has thinned.
